The Final Countdown
Aaaaaaand I’m back.
Welcome aboard, misters and missus…es.
It’s a brand new year! And I’m a senior. Holy bajeez.
What might my schedule look like for this beginning of the last of all my undergraduate years? Glad you asked.
Okay, so maybe I was a little ambitious when I scheduled “Gym” in there at 7 o’clock every morning. But that could also mean yoga too, right? Or sleeping in and walking ALL THE WAY to the kitchen for a cup or three of coffee? Yeah, yeah….that totally counts as exercise…
But all in all, my schedule looks pretty open. I have my German Directed Study course which doesn’t have an official scheduled time, and then there’s all the research associated with my thesis to factor in…but two of my jobs sort of melded into one, and now I feel like I should take up a hobby to fill an extra 10 hours in my week. I’m thiiiinking…..Outing Club. Gotta start seriously prepping for that hike eventually, right?
I’m still in Sinfonia; I’m taking Intro to Management Info Systems for the MPA 5th year program; I’m taking Arts of Islam for funsies, as well as the Caravaggio seminar (which is with my favorite professor, John Garton, is teaching! He just got out of the hospital and I’m super psyched he’s back this year ) Oh! And for all you kiddos thinking about taking German 101 this year…I’ll be one of the TAs! So see you there
What am I most excited for this year?
Well, being an Orientation Coordinator for Week One, of course. The community garden. Growing my own herbs in my kitchen. Composting. Taking on more responsibilities in my job at ArtsWorcester. Thanksgiving at my brother’s apartment in Arizona before he graduates in December. Watching from afar as my sister enters her freshman year at the UofO. Narrowing down and getting excited about my thesis topic. And exploring more of Worcester, Mass, and the general East Coast before I move out. I mean, I’ll still be here for my Masters (fingers crossed); but still. Time’s a tickin’!
So welcome back to Clark everyone. See you around campus!
