Fall It Up

Watch this Video, first!

  1. I was trying to find a song about Fall or midterms, but I wasn’t a fan of those options so I decided to post this one. I found it on Pandora and it’s been a new favorite.
  2. You will notice that the songwriter didn’t go to Clark based on the lyrics…Can you tell why? (Hint: Check out Clark’s motto)

Fall is here! As you can see, I had a pretty fall-filled day of cardigan-wearing, leaf-throwing, pumpkin ice cream-eating fun. Around campus, the leaves have changed color and it looks beautiful!

Fall isn’t my favorite season, but there are a lot of things that I’m looking forward to. Though cardigan season and pumpkin lattes are the two top, Fall Fest at Clark and the Presidential Debates are also close seconds.

Fall Fest is a day at Clark where students have the opportunity to present a project or experience. This upcoming week I am presenting at Fall Fest about my summer in Kenya, specifically how I started a business in a developing country. If you’re in the area, come check it out!

As for the Presidential Debates, they have been interesting. As I wrote about in one of my first blogs about the classes I am in, two of them are in the Political Science Department, so keeping up election season is a must. (Though I would anyway!) Different departments and clubs have been hosting the debates so a bunch of people will get together and watch together.

One of my not-so-favorite thing about fall is midterms. This week I have all four of my midterms back-to-back. Luckily, one was a project so I can get that done ahead of time, but the other ones I have to study for…which is why I am blogging on a Friday – I like to be proactive and get everything done so I can spend the little free time that I have studying.

The X-axis refers to the week of the semester and the Y-axis refers to the number of hours of work I have...See, I paid attention in math class.

Math isn’t my strong point, but I tried to make a graph that represents my semester so far. I always do my work, but when midterms and finals roll around, there is always so much to get done. I just need to push through this week and then I can go back to not stressing out as much, which was one of my goals for this school year.

For anyone else with midterms in the near future, good luck, listen to the song up top, and keep smiling. Happy Fall, Everybody!
