Welcome Back and Taming of the Shrew
Oh hey, I almost didn’t see you there from behind my giant pile of work! It’s good to see you again, you know, I look forward to these posts. It bothers me when things get so hectic I forget to even post!
So here we are, it is the first week of classes and boy let me tell you, people are diving in head-first. I can’t recount the number of people who I’ve spoken to who are already drowning in homework. I thought this was supposed to happen when you got older, I’m only a Sophomore, right!? Of course, I’m already taking Junior level courses so that could have something to do with my sudden increase in work. I’m excited though, these classes are so GREAT and I can’t wait to tell you all about it.
But for now, I have something even cooler.
Did you know that every other year Clark University presents the classics in theatre and music? Well, I didn’t. And tonight I went to a lovely performance of Taming of the Shrew put on by Aquila. Wow! I’ve seen Taming of the Shrew many times, but this had to be one of the more entertaining versions. I suggest very highly that if you are ever have the chance to see Taming of the Shrew by Aquila? Go!!
Here are some pictures:
They brought up a volunteer (Jimmmy?) from the audience to play a small roll. They handed him cards for lines, and then at one point they even ‘took over’ his arms! It was so entertaining. I haven’t laughed this much at a play in a long time.
Encore! Bravo! Bellisima!
